Commitment to
Dignity

Whether a member chooses to serve as a chapter officer, or represent AOII as a member of other campus or community organizations, there are numerous opportunities to develop leadership skills as a member of AOII.

Commitment to
Scholarship

AOII encourages all members to excel academically and has many programs designed to assist women in achieving their academic goals. Expectations are high but the support provided by scholarship programs, academic development officer resources, and fellow members makes success attainable.

Letter from the President

I joined Alpha Omicron Pi as a founding member during the fall of my sophomore year at the University of Connecticut. Without even knowing it at the time, this was one of the most transformational decisions of my life thus far. I joined during AOII’s colonization process, allowing me to not only see the organization grow into a fully active Panhellenic chapter on UConn’s campus, but to watch myself and many other sisters blossom into the greatest women we can be. Alpha Omicron Pi is not just a sisterhood, but a stepping stone to your greatest potential.
Joining AOII has taught me what it truly means to be fearless in everything I do. I find myself constantly surrounded by sisters who are not only pushing themselves to be their best, but who are also always there to cheer on myself and others as well. The never-ending support provided by this sisterhood has pulled me completely out of a shell I was so deeply hidden in before becoming a member of AOII. I am so honored to be able to continue to watch my sisters become strong, enthusiastic, and overall amazing leaders within the UConn Greek Community and outside of it.
I speak on behalf of the Lambda Lambda chapter of Alpha Omicron Pi at UConn in thanking you for taking the time to visit our website. We hope we can provide you with some insight into what it truly means to be a sister of Alpha Omicron Pi.
